The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Sales & Marketing, Food & Beverage and Spa team at Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas. This position is responsible for executing marketing initiatives that enhance brand visibility, drive bookings, and strengthen guest engagement across multiple channels. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about luxury hospitality, with a strong foundation in digital marketing, content creation, and brand storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the Sales team to create collateral, presentations, and proposals. Support the promotion of weddings, group events, and special offers. Assist in tracking ROI on campaigns and provide reporting on marketing performance. Public Relations & Partnerships
Coordinate influencer stays, media visits, and partnerships with local businesses. Support the DOSM in managing relationships with PR agencies and marketing vendors. Assist with press release distribution and tracking media coverage.
Administrative & Project Support
Manage marketing timelines, deadlines, and budgets under the guidance of the DOSM. Support coordination of photoshoots and creative production. Maintain marketing files, reports, and vendor contracts.
Content & Brand Management
Assist in the creation and distribution of content for digital, social, and print platforms. Ensure all marketing materials and communications align with the Alila and Hyatt brand standards. Maintain an updated library of photography, videography, and creative assets.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
Support the execution of social media content calendars and community engagement. Monitor online presence and reputation across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google, TripAdvisor, etc.). Assist in managing email campaigns, website updates, and SEO initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or related field preferred. 1–2 years of marketing experience, ideally in hospitality, luxury brands, or lifestyle industries. Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools a plus. Experience with social media platforms, scheduling tools, and basic analytics. Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Passion for hospitality, storytelling, and creating memorable guest experiences. This position expects to pay $22.00 per hour.
