Overview
Marketing Co-Op role at Bimbo Canada. The Bimbo Bakeries USA Marketing Co-Op program is a dynamic 5-month program that affords students a remarkable opportunity to participate in fast-paced real-world projects designed to further develop marketing, project management, social media, and creative strategy skills. This role focuses on Health & Wellness Food CPG, with emphasis on social, influencer, brand communications (internal and external), brand marketing, and more, alongside the North America Health & Wellness team.
Salary Range: $20-22/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on social media landscape; advise the North America H&W team and Marketing Center of Excellence on trends and recommendations to stay relevant to the brands target consumer.
- Plan and execute internal communications about the brand and collaborate with corporate affairs to disseminate information to the broader Bimbo Bakeries USA and Bimbo Canada organizations.
- Support Manager and Director in requirements for getting products into market (e.g., packaging design, sales samples, item setup for e-commerce); guide creative direction for the brand to fit target audiences on social and digital platforms.
- Collaborate with website development agencies on implementing website requirements and provide client-side approvals.
- Coordinate with consumer relations and agency on approvals and social media post scheduling.
- Learn and use internal and external databases to share insights that influence brand decisions.
- Support North America H&W team on other requests (e.g., product development, business management, consumer insights, data and research analysis).
- Act as a passionate advocate for the brand in all activities.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors Degree Program in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related major; previous co-op/internship experience and experience in marketing preferred.
- Interest in health and wellness space, preferably food; experienced social media user (videos, Reels, Canva, Capcut); strong website development familiarity preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to initiate and maintain strong interpersonal relationships.
- Demonstrated analytical skills with ability to generate business insights from diverse data sources.
