The Department of Athletics at Wofford College, a member of the Southern Conference, is seeking applications for the Director of Marketing position. Wofford College supports 20 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs. This is a full-time position beginning in September 2025 that will require day-to-day office duties and game management responsibilities. Job Duties
Lead the execution of strategic marketing initiatives designed to drive revenue, increase brand visibility, and meet key project deadlines. Run the in-venue productions, ensuring a cohesive and engaging fan experience that aligns with the department's branding and promotional goals. Collaborate with ticketing staff to support sales objectives, including the development and execution of group sales and experiential promotions. Analyze and compile campaign performance data, images, and assets for use in internal reporting and external sponsorship recaps. Contribute to the creation and oversight of visual content, assisting with graphic design and brand messaging for promotional use. Assist in the preparation and execution of gameday operations for various college sports events. Support the setup and breakdown Wofford Athletics Events including equipment, facilities, and promotional materials. Manage community outreach and engagement throughout the Spartanburg community. Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned by the athletic department staff. Represent Wofford Athletics at community events and increase brand awareness. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant AD of Marketing and Video. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. Working knowledge of gameday operations, marketing and social media strategy in collegiate or professional sports. At least 4 years' experience working in collegiate or professional sports preferred. Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Organized, dependable, punctual, willing to learn and a self-starter. Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
