Overview
The Senior Manager, Media is responsible for the planning, execution, stewardship, and optimization of Aarons media investments. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders and agency partners to deliver integrated campaigns that maximize reach, efficiency, and impact. The Sr. Media Manager ensures media budgets are effectively allocated, performance is continuously monitored and reported, and campaigns contribute to both short-term sales goals and long-term brand growth. Leads Aarons paid, earned, and owned media strategy and execution across digital, social, and traditional channelsensuring investments are optimized, campaigns are fully integrated, and results are measurable and aligned to business objectives.
What Youll Do
- Media Planning & Buying
- Lead development of media plans across digital, social, broadcast, and in-store channels.
- Manage media budget allocations, pacing, and reporting in collaboration with marketing leadership.
- Oversee agency partners on planning, negotiation, and buying to ensure efficiency and ROI.
- Campaign Execution, Stewardship & Optimization
- Partner with creative/brand teams to ensure timely asset delivery for media placements.
- Provide stewardship of media campaigns, ensuring consistent monitoring, pacing, and adjustments.
- Manage trafficking, flighting, and quality control of all paid media campaigns.
- Continuously optimize campaigns based on KPIs such as CPA, ROAS, reach, frequency, and engagement.
- Conduct A/B tests, analyze performance, and recommend improvements.
- Serve as the lead for media on the organizations project management tools to communicate and update on all aspects of media services for the marketing department and other internal / external stakeholders.
- Measurement, Reporting & Insights
- Own weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual media reporting, ensuring stakeholders receive comprehensive updates on performance.
- Provide clear readouts that connect media results to Aarons business priorities and consumer behaviors.
- Refine dashboards and frameworks to measure media effectiveness across channels.
- Partner with Insights & Analytics to evaluate attribution, incrementality, and channel contribution.
- Agency & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as day-to-day lead with media agencies, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate across marketing functions to ensure campaigns are integrated and aligned.
- Communicate media strategies and results clearly to leadership and cross-functional partners.
- Innovation & Ideation
- Evaluate emerging media platforms, technologies, and formats, testing where appropriate to reach new audiences.
- Recommend innovative approaches to maximize customer engagement and extend campaign impact.
- Bring forward insights from cultural and consumer trends to inform media strategies.
- Requirements
- 68+ years of media planning and buying experience across digital, social, and traditional channels.
- Proven success managing large budgets, pacing, and optimization for retail or consumer-driven businesses.
- Experience managing agencies and vendor relationships with accountability for results.
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field.
