— Morningstar is seeking a Senior Marketing Insights Analyst who is deeply passionate about leveraging data to drive strategic marketing decisions and fuel customer acquisition growth across our business lines. This highly collaborative role translates complex metrics into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders at all levels, including executives. As a key member of the Marketing Operations team, you’ll own the reporting and insights function, drive marketing performance analyses, and serve as a strategic partner across digital marketing and other business functions to ensure alignment, data-driven decision-making, and operational efficiency. This role follows a hybrid policy requiring onsite work in the

Chicago

office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

Establish and maintain a regular cadence for marketing performance reporting, applying analytical rigor to inform business strategy and enhance campaign effectiveness.

Translate marketing and channel performance data into clear, actionable insights to guide investment decisions and strategic planning.

Build and manage marketing budget models to support annual planning—partnering closely with Sales, Finance, and Marketing.

Act as the primary resource for ad-hoc analysis requests, delivering data-driven insights that support business unit leaders in critical decision-making.

Lead or contribute to high-impact projects that improve team performance, marketing outcomes, and alignment across cross-functional partners.

What We’re Looking For

3–5 years of experience in marketing strategy, business analytics, consulting, or operations.

Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with a passion for solving complex business challenges.

Proven ability to communicate data-driven insights clearly and persuasively—both verbally and in writing—to a variety of audiences.

A proactive, self-starting mindset with a bias for action and a track record of iterative learning and experimentation.

Demonstrated experience working with marketing metrics, campaign data, and performance analysis across channels.

Preferred Skills

Familiarity with sales and marketing tools, platforms, and data, including CRM systems like Salesforce, and analytics/BI tools such as Excel, Tableau, Google Analytics; experience using data to inform strategy and drive decision-making.

Ability to identify and communicate key wins and impact metrics within projects to align and motivate cross-functional teams toward shared goals.

Compensation And Benefits Morningstar offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support health, wellness, and financial well-being. Total cash compensation ranges from

$92,525.00

to

$157,275.00

USD annually, inclusive of base salary and target incentive. Morningstar’s hybrid work environment supports remote work with in-person collaboration typically three days per week. A range of additional benefits is available to adapt to changing needs.
