Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Audio Visual Events Specialist to lead the execution and support of high-impact in-person, virtual, and hybrid events. This role is ideal for a technical problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes ownership of AV operations from planning to post-production.

Job Title: Audio Visual Events Specialist

Location: Newark, NJ (Onsite 5 days/week)

Base pay range

$27.00/yr - $47.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with employees, contractors, and vendors to deliver seamless event experiences
• Partner with AV Program Managers to manage, schedule, and operate live events
• Facilitate and monitor key meetings, live streams, and AV-supported sessions
• Guide internal teams on best practices for event execution and technology use
• Perform post-production activities including editing, cataloging, and archiving content
• Own and evolve the Audio Visual Events Program, ensuring scalability and quality
• Manage stage crews, equipment rentals, and vendor relationships
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot streaming platforms and live event systems
• Pull, terminate, and manage AV cabling and rack-mounted equipment
• Resolve technical issues independently and provide operational leadership
• Identify root causes and implement long-term solutions for AV system stability
• Coordinate scheduling and logistics for the event operations team

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AV event production and systems support
• Strong troubleshooting skills across streaming platforms and live event systems
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and vendors under tight timelines
• Comfortable working independently and leading technical operations
• Commitment to onsite presence in Newark, NJ five days per week
