Reporting to the Senior Director of Production, the Agency Broadcast/Photo Producer is a key member of the creative department responsible for planning and executing all content deliverables including TV, radio, video, and social media. This position collaborates with the creative team to develop visual concepts and execute them in a timely and cost-effective manner.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
PRE-PRODUCTION (photography, TV/radio, and video)
- Collaborate with creative and production leadership, broadcast, and social teams to create all content deliverables, including but not limited to;
- Estimating all shoot and audio recording budgets
- Acting as the line producer for shoots, which involves planning and coordinating all areas of content shoots, including but not limited to
- Sourcing and managing external vendors, including photographers, directors, and production companies, to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Scheduling creative kickoff calls with photographer/DP/production company
- Leading communication with studio, rental houses, hair/MUAs, caterers, etc. to negotiate rates and bookings
- Scheduling internal check-ins and taking notes for creative alignment, shot lists, etc.
- Negotiating costs and timing with various vendors for the best product within budget
- Creating and managing shoot call sheets and shoot schedules
- Communicating with talent regarding logistics, HMU preferences, food allergies, etc.
- Liaising with the talent department to coordinate talent estimates, if applicable
- Researching and securing props
- Requesting insurance certificates
- Placing deliveries/pickup orders with a messenger service
- Sending timely updates to the team
PRODUCTION (on set)
- Oversee crew load-in and wrap
- Responsible for keeping shoot on schedule in the Senior Director of Production’s absence
- Serve as the primary point of contact for crew on set
- Manage and assign production assistant duties as necessary
POST-PRODUCTION/WRAP
- Work closely with account teams to ensure all information has been supplied in creative briefs (deadlines, specs, client or vendor supplied assets, etc.)
- Coordinate with other producer(s) and the Senior Director of Production to coordinate/schedule content team’s workflow across all client projects
- Negotiate and create timelines for projects, and get advisement from VPOP in case of any scheduling conflicts
- Research and estimate stock music/footage/images as needed
- Work with the Senior Director of Production to provide PO #s to vendors from billing system
- Oversee internal routing/approvals of broadcast projects
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Close jobs in Basecamp and billing system (Chase)
- Clear and timely communicate to the Senior Director of Production, creative, and account teams
- Use correct department resources and templates for estimates, call sheets and schedules
OTHER DUTIES
- Responsible for trafficking TV and radio spots in the Director, Broadcast Business Affairs’ absence
- Secure VO talent availability and booking in the Director, Broadcast Business Affairs’ absence
- Facilitate in-house and out-of-house recording sessions in Director, Broadcast Business Affairs’ absence
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have 2-3 years’ experience in creative production at an advertising agency
- NOTE: This is NOT a social media manager/project management/shooter/editor role
- Bachelor’s degree at minimum
- Theater lovers a plus!
- Strong project management skills, with experience in managing budgets, timelines, and external vendors for projects across video, print and digital content
- A strong aptitude for organization, written, and verbal communication
- Detail oriented with great creative problem-solving skills
- Able to work in teams and independently with limited supervision
- Can communicate up and laterally to all project stakeholders, from concept to delivery
- Have a positive, enthusiastic approach, with a passion for culture and the creative process, even under tight timelines and within challenging budgets
- Proficient in MAC OS, Google Suite, Basecamp and/or Microsoft Office
- Ability to work well with others in a highly collaborative environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to balance priorities across multiple projects
- Able to work 3 days/week in our NYC office
