AY24-25 Adjunct Faculty, Communication Disorders
Adjuncts are hired on a course basis each term.
Salary Range for Adjuncts teaching in this academic area is $300.00 - $4,500.00 per course.
Responsibilities
- to serve as university supervisor of graduate students in external practica in speech-language pathology (i.e., serve as liaison between university and external practicum site);
- to serve as a clinical supervisor of graduate students in a pre-practicum course in speech-language in pediatric and adult community settings;
- to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in areas of need including child language, adult language, voice, and/or fluency.
At Governors State University, adjunct faculty are hired as temporary faculty with teaching responsibilities for a specific course in a semester or summer session. Adjuncts are not a part of the faculty bargaining unit and are not included in membership of the Faculty Senate.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in speech-language pathology-Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of post-CFY clinical experience as an SLP-Experience supervising graduate students in clinical settings in speech-language pathology-Teaching experience
