Position Description

The Assistant Director of Enrollment Technology and Communication, Graduate & Professional Studies, plays a key operational and strategic role in the management of the graduate enrollment CRM (Slate). The Assistant Director is a system strategist and CRM champion who manages Slate CRM workflows, events, forms, queries, and long-term infrastructure. The role leads CRM customization and optimization efforts, supports cycle preparation, and serves as a liaison with internal stakeholders and the Slate CRM leadership team. Responsible for documenting business processes, recommending improvements to Slate processing operations, and providing training and first-level support to staff. The ideal candidate brings initiative, intellectual curiosity, and an appreciation of precision to improve systems, data integrity, and strategic capabilities of the graduate enrollment team. This role contributes to the university’s growth, responsiveness, and student success by transforming data and communication support for graduate enrollment.

Education

Required: Bachelor’s degree (any field); candidates with strong technical aptitude, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.

  • Education Preferred: Coursework or certifications in information systems, business analytics, communications, or related fields.

Experience

Required: Prior experience in a detail-oriented or technical environment (internships, part-time work, or academic projects); demonstrated ability to learn complex systems quickly and apply knowledge to solve problems.

  • Experience Preferred: Experience using or supporting CRM systems (preferably Slate), 1–2 years in admissions, recruitment, customer service, or similarly fast-paced, goal-driven fields; familiarity with higher education environments or enrollment operations.

Responsibilities

  • CRM System Administration & Maintenance: manage day-to-day administration of Slate for graduate programs; maintain forms, event registration flows, queries, reports, dashboards, automations, workflows, fields, and data imports; manage access controls
  • Strategic CRM Leadership: lead Slate CRM team activities; align graduate and undergraduate frameworks; identify system-wide improvements; implement enhancements based on analysis and user feedback
  • Process Optimization & Cross-Functional Alignment: review current practices with counselors and Slate team; propose solutions; collaborate with IT, marketing, registrar for full CRM integration
  • Documentation, Training & User Enablement: develop documentation and SOPs; lead training sessions; maintain knowledge base and troubleshooting resources
  • Secondary Duties: attendance; stakeholder feedback loop; track system performance and engagement; perform other duties as assigned

Special Working Conditions

Evening and weekend availability as needed by events or programs; fast-paced environment with shifting priorities; high emphasis on precision.

Driving Requirements

Yes – role stationed at the Winding Hill campus; occasional meetings at the Grantham campus (3-4 miles apart).
