Georgia State University’s Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning & Online Education (CETLOE) seeks a Multimedia Communications Specialist, Intermediate to join our versatile multimedia production studio. We develop innovative learning projects that enhance the educational experience across GSU. We work with teams in Graphic Design, Animation, Motion Graphics, Video Production, and AR/VR. What You Will Do
As a Multimedia Communications Specialist, you will be a creative professional responsible for conceptualizing, planning, producing, assessing, and continuously improving multimedia projects for GSU courses and programs. You will help shape how students experience learning by turning complex concepts into innovative, engaging, and inspirational media. Attention to detail and a human-centered design approach are critical, as is proficiency throughout the design process—from wireframes to high-fidelity mockups or prototypes.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply human-centered design principles to create elegant, innovative content and interactions for a diverse student audience.
- Develop graphic content for GSU courses and departmental projects.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and subject matter experts to convert complex data and concepts into innovative, sometimes interactive, infographics.
- Partner with graphic design and video production teams to produce cohesive multimedia packages, including interactive videos.
- Solicit and incorporate feedback from users, cross-disciplinary partners, and stakeholders; provide guidance and collaborate on implementation with instructional designers and subject matter experts.
- Ensure all designs meet ADA compliance standards or develop the skills to do so.
Minimum Hiring Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
- Strong background in visual and graphic design.
- Proficiency in design software and tools relevant to multimedia production.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn new techniques, tools, and technologies.
- Experience creating engaging, user-centered media for educational or professional audiences is preferred.

- Design Software (depth vs breadth prioritized): Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dimension, XD, Dreamweaver), Procreate and other design software.
