Overview

St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Charlotte, is seeking a full time, Music Director to lead a vibrant, inclusive, and spiritually enriching liturgical music program. This role supports the proclamation of the Gospel and fosters the spiritual growth of the parish community through music that reflects the richness of Catholic tradition.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all musical aspects of parish liturgies, including weekends, Holy Days, sacramental celebrations, and seasonal services.
• Plan music and rehearse choirs and ensembles.
• Develop cantor and children’s choir programs.
• Maintain the parish sound system.
• Collaborate with clergy and staff.
• Serve on the Liturgy Commission and support special liturgies such as funerals and weddings.

Volunteer Leadership and Environment

This ministry is supported entirely by volunteers, and the Director will be responsible for nurturing their talents, scheduling rehearsals, and fostering a welcoming and collaborative environment.
