Position:

Rubenstein Public Relations is looking for a Media Relations specialist to join our team. As a Media Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for cultivating relationships with media outlets, pitching stories, and crafting compelling narratives to promote our clients’ objectives. You will collaborate with our partners and subject matter experts to develop and execute media strategies across various platforms, including press releases, op-eds, interviews, and social media.

Responsibilities:

• Provide media relations counsel to account team members and clients
• Strategize and execute media relations portion of programs
• Ability to interpret client needs into actionable, achievable media programs
• Strong knowledge of traditional as well as “out of the box” marketing tactics
• Be creative and strategic in the development of programs designed to garner media attention
• Continue to build relationships with journalists and press contacts on behalf of the agency, not necessarily tied to specific campaigns
• Liaising with account teams and clients to provide project updates in a timely manner

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of PR agency experience
• Strong media contacts and excellent writing skills
• Proven ability to create media plans from concept and follow through to placement
• Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
• Proven ability to deliver exceptional communications programs and delivering on set targets

To comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, the Company believes the target range of base compensation for this role is $80K - 90K.
