About Young STEAMers
Young STEAMers is a San Francisco Bay Area nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring children to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) and guiding them toward STEM careers. At Young STEAMers, we believe a child’s zip code should never limit their potential. We provide free, high-impact STEAM education to low-income Bay Area kids aged 4–14 and STEM career guidance for youth aged 14-24. Our hands-on programs blend academic content with creativity and real-world application to spark curiosity, build confidence, and expand opportunity. We engage local talent by training high school students as classroom aides and hiring college students as instructors, creating a full-circle model of community-led education. Together, we’re opening doors so that talent, not circumstance, shapes a child’s future in STEAM.
