The Director of Marketing is responsible for advancing Prospera Credit Union's competitive position by building brand identity, driving member growth, increasing share of wallet, and ensuring alignment with the credit union's mission, vision, and guiding principles. This role oversees the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies-including digital, traditional, and community engagement-that enhance awareness, strengthen member relationships, and support business objectives. The Director leads the marketing team and collaborates across departments to deliver a consistent, data-driven, and member-focused experience.

About the Role:
The Director of Marketing is responsible for advancing Prospera Credit Union's competitive position by building brand identity, driving member growth, increasing share of wallet, and ensuring alignment with the credit union's mission, vision, and guiding principles. This role oversees the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies-including digital, traditional, and community engagement-that enhance awareness, strengthen member relationships, and support business objectives. The Director leads the marketing team and collaborates across departments to deliver a consistent, data-driven, and member-focused experience.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Brand & Strategic Marketing - 25%
- Establish and manage the Prospera brand identity internally and externally, ensuring alignment with culture, mission, vision and guiding principles.
- Develop annual strategic marketing plans and manage the marketing budget to support short- and long-term organizational goals.
- Conduct research, surveys, and data analysis (e.g., NPS, awareness, satisfaction) to evaluate effectiveness and guide decision-making.
- Digital Marketing & E-Commerce - 25%
- Lead digital marketing strategy, including paid digital, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and social media.
- Oversee website and other digital platforms to ensure an engaging and seamless member experience.
- Drive e-commerce initiatives and explore emerging technologies that expand member access to products and services.
- Regularly measure performance of digital campaigns and platforms, optimizing for growth and ROI.
- Advertising, Promotions & Communications - 20%
- Direct all advertising and promotional campaigns, ensuring brand consistency across all channels.
- Oversee development of creative assets and collateral materials.
- Lead corporate communications, including internal intranet and external messaging, ensuring clear, professional, and consistent voice.
- Leadership & Team Development - 15%
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Marketing Coordinator by providing coaching, training, and growth opportunities.
- Set individual development plans, conduct performance reviews, and ensure departmental resources meet operational needs.
- Community & Public Relations - 10%
- Implement public relations strategies that complement marketing efforts.
- Coordinate community initiatives, sponsorships, special events, and credit union meetings (e.g., annual meeting, Foundation Fund, Giving Committee).
- Ensure effective execution of all logistics and communications.
- Compliance & Recordkeeping - 5%
- Ensure initial compliance with statutes and regulations related to marketing.
- Act as custodian of official marketing documents and maintain appropriate records.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 8-10 years of marketing experience, with strong leadership and project management background.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required.
- Skills:
- Expertise in digital marketing, analytics, and emerging technologies.
- Strong creative writing, communication, and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and build cross-departmental relationships.
- Proficiency with PC software, spreadsheets, publishing tools, and digital marketing platforms.
