Monday, 9:00am - 5:00pm.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 1:00pm - 5:00pm.
Possibility of additional fill-in hours from time to time.
The Library Assistant will provide excellent customer service. This individual will work under the supervision of the Circulation Manager. The ability to work independently is a must.
The Library assistant may perform some or all of the following duties:

The Library assistant may perform some or all of the following duties:
- Operates and assists with managing the circulation desk.
- Assists patrons with various needs including with public computers and with use of the integrated library system catalog.
- Resolves customer service issues with patrons.
- Empties book drop and shelves materials.
- Assists with library volunteers which may including training.
- Checks accuracy of patron accounts.
- Will acquire working knowledge of regulations and procedures pertaining to library responsibilities.
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree or college credits working towards Library degree a plus.
- One (1) year experience in a library setting plus experience with ILS.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of library principles and practices.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Superior customer service skills
- Ability to read to take direction.
- Knowledge of basic office procedures.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of library principles and practices.
