We're seeking a detail-oriented and creative Marketing Specialist to support the Marketing Manager in executing campaigns, producing branded content, and coordinating events. This role will focus on design, content development, digital updates, and event support, ensuring our marketing efforts are consistent, effective, and aligned with company goals. Ideally this position is based in Dayton or Cincinnati, Ohio, and reports directly to the Marketing Manager
Duties and Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Branding
- Revise and update designs in Canva, following established brand guidelines and templates.
- Make minor graphic design edits for digital and print materials (ads, flyers, social media posts, presentations).
- Maintain consistency across all creative assets to reinforce brand standards.
- Assist with copywriting and editing for social media posts, email campaigns, and marketing collateral.
- Conduct research to support blog posts, case studies, customer stories, and competitive analysis.
- Help proofread and fact-check marketing content to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Edit and repurpose short-form video content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X).
- Update company social media accounts with engaging posts, respond to interactions, and support overall brand presence.
- Assist with website updates to ensure content, imagery, and service information are current and optimized.
- Support campaign tracking by coordinating with the Marketing Manager on analytics and reporting.
- Help maintain accurate local business listings across DAY, PTK, and CVG.
- Assist in coordinating marketing materials and logistics for events, tradeshows, and local community activities.
- Prepare signage, presentations, and branded giveaways in coordination with the Marketing Manager.
- Provide on-site support at select events, including setup, photography, and customer engagement.
- Support the Marketing Manager in maintaining campaign calendars and tracking project progress.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on social media engagement, email campaigns, and website performance.
- Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely delivery of marketing assets.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or design support.
- Proficiency with Canva; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite or other design tools a plus.
- Basic video editing skills (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, iMovie).
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Team player with strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for events, tradeshows, and marketing activations.
- Experience supporting corporate events, trade shows, or community engagement activities.
- Familiarity with aviation or transportation industries.
- Basic knowledge of SEO, social media scheduling tools, or email platforms (Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.).
