We are seeking a

Senior Instructional Designer (SID)

to support the Power Generation division, focusing on

Fossil and Solar training programs . This role involves leading curriculum design, guiding instructional designers, and ensuring high-quality delivery of multi-year technical training initiatives. You will collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and learning strategists to align training with workforce development and compliance needs. Key Responsibilities

Conduct needs assessments and

front-end analyses

to identify training requirements. Collaborate with learning strategists and instructional designers on curriculum design and mapping. Evaluate off-the-shelf training courses for curriculum inclusion. Guide use of

learning technologies

and tools to enhance training. Coach instructional designers in applying the

ADDIE model . Lead QA reviews and ensure training deliverables meet quality standards. Estimate project costs, develop schedules, and manage execution. Facilitate key meetings: Kick-offs, Betas, Train-the-Trainers, Pilots. Track project status, report updates, and proactively identify improvements. Collect/analyze training effectiveness metrics and apply continuous improvement. Archive materials and complete project closeout activities. Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or related field (or equivalent). 5+ years in instructional design, including 2+ years in leadership/mentorship. Proven experience designing

multi-year technical training programs . Strong knowledge of

instructional design for trades/technical training . Experience with

small/mid-sized project management . Proficiency in

MS Office, Articulate Storyline, video production, and web design tools . Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Nice-to-Have Experience

Master’s degree in Instructional Design/Education. Experience with

apprenticeship programs

in skilled trades. Utility or trades industry background. Familiarity with

Questionmark, Author-It, MS Teams, and AI tools . Required Skills
