The Experienced Senior, Data & AI is a client facing role requiring hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying data visualization solutions on platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, and others. A successful candidate has a passion for consulting with our clients to understand their needs, visual storytelling, and aggregating disparate data from SQL and cloud-based data platforms to convey new business insights. This position brings and maintains in-depth knowledge on visual design and data modeling best practices within visualization tools, performance tuning, and deployment strategies, as well as how to leverage the wide range of data analytics solutions within cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS. The role involves hands-on delivery management of data analytics projects, contributing to development and unit testing of solutions, and may include design of architecture and development of components where needed. This position owns consulting relationships across multiple clients and technologies. Responsibilities

Designs and implements actionable data visualization solutions, semantic layers and models, and visualization of streaming data for end-to-end data analytics on cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS. Explores large data sets and relational databases, performs analyses, and identifies storytelling opportunities. Creates effective presentations to describe the business value of solutions. Builds visualizations that simplify complex information to enable insight-driven decisions. Collaborates with clients to align solutions with business requirements, data availability, and priorities. Delivers high-performance, scalable, repeatable, and secure deliverables with broad impact. Implements programs and best practices to foster data literacy and maturity within organizations. Creates functional, architectural, and technical design documents; develops prototypes to validate requirements. Maps data models to source systems and documents data lineage and model documentation. Collaborates with data engineers on data ingestion and warehousing to support data models. Manages workspaces, user permissions, deploys apps, and maintains security of visualization tools/platforms; designs and supports Row Level Security (RLS). Assists with project estimation, resource planning, and workload management; contributes to DevOps integrations and solution deployments. Maintains broad knowledge of data visualization and analytics strategies, cloud platforms, and tools. Builds client relationships and acts as a trusted advisor during project execution; participates in support activities for existing solutions. Contributes to pre-sales engineering and scoping to help close opportunities. Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises the day-to-day workload of Associates on assigned engagements to ensure timelines and deliverables are met and reviews work product.

Education

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred; focus in Information Systems, Data Science or Computer Science preferred.

Experience

Five or more years of experience in Data Analytics, BI, AI, or Application Development. One or more years of experience technically leading development projects (preferred). One or more years of consulting experience or implementation of cloud-based data visualization solutions (preferred).

Software

Strong SQL skills (DDL, DML, views, functions, procedures; performance tuning) required. Experience with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, etc.) required. Experience with Data Modeling, Semantic Models or Star Schema construction required. Hands-on delivery experience of data visualization on Azure or AWS (preferred). Experience with Git and DevOps deployment technologies (preferred). Experience with additional tools such as wireframing, Visio, AI/ML, UiPath, Alteryx (preferred).
