Full-time, Exempt About the Role
As a multi-tasker and team player, you'll play a vital role in driving integrated marketing initiatives that promote Monterey County as a premier destination. This position supports the Marketing Communications team with project management and administrative coordination as well as liaising with the Business Development teams to support group marketing initiatives. Key Responsibilities Implements and supports brand strategy across leisure, group and luxury marketing initiatives Supports business development sponsorships, events and programs with marketing content Supports content production projects for leisure, luxury and group campaigns Maintains digital asset library Administers the Marketing Communications project management system and maintains project tracking Leads report creation and timelines for the Marketing Communications team Supports content creation and updates across digital platforms as needed Processes invoices and expense tracking Oversees promotional item inventory and ordering Provides administrative support for the marketing communications team Coordinates shipping and general office support for the marketing communications team Contributes to a safe, healthy, positive, and harmonious work culture and environment Ensures punctuality and adherence to organizational policies and procedures Ensures adherence to organizational policies, deadlines, and quality standards
Requirements / Our Ideal Candidate Has
College degree in marketing, business, or related field and/or minimum one-year relevant experience Marketing communications experience Knowledge of Monterey County Digital marketing tools proficiency Travel/tourism industry experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiar with cloud computing environments Demonstrated organizational and prioritization abilities Clear and effective communication skills Strong attention to accuracy and quality in deliverables Collaborative mindset with ability to work independently Understanding of marketing principles and best practices Project coordination experience Analytical and solution-focused approach Creative problem-solving abilities Adaptability to changing priorities Commitment to building positive working relationships
