Required Knowledge and Skills: Proficiency in Revit is required Proficiency in AutoCAD / Architectural Desktop Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, SketchUp, and InDesign preferred Basic knowledge of design trends, construction methodology, materials, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles for producing technical plans, drawings, and models Basic knowledge of furniture, fixtures, E, finishes, lighting, signage, color, and materials to carry out design intent Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines Basic understanding of the construction process related to drawings Ability to work effectively in a team environment Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines Basic hand and CAD drafting skills Space planning skills and interest in programming Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) preferred Basic proficiency in 3D modeling software like 3D Studio Max and Viz preferred Basic proficiency in Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct thorough field surveys Assist in preparing drawings for all design phases Update design documents as needed Develop solutions to technical and design problems following standards Prepare design and presentation drawings Build models for review Research and compile data during design phases Prepare and modify architectural documents, elevations, sections, details Participate in design charrettes and team meetings Attend client meetings as directed Assist in construction processes (site visits, punch lists, submittals, shop drawings review) Participate in vendor presentations and ongoing learning events Complete timesheets and expense reports accurately and timely Assist in programming and schematic phases as directed Understand project budgets and schedules, and adhere to set parameters Education / Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited university PLUS relevant experience or equivalent education and experience in architecture Salary range: $, – $, (+ years of experience).
