About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Graphic Designer (contract) to support packaging design for a leading food business during a period of increased project volume. Projects span foundational (system-aligned) and evolutionary (lightly adaptive) tiers, with opportunities to collaborate on larger strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate brings strong design fundamentals, confidence working within established brand systems, and the ability to provide thoughtful peer-level feedback. You will collaborate closely with senior designers and cross-functional partners across the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute packaging design projects from concept adaptation through production release.
  • Ensure brand consistency and attention to detail across SKUs, formats, and applications.
  • Provide peer-level design feedback to support quality and throughput.
  • Support rollout of brand systems across product portfolios, applying creative judgment while honoring frameworks.
  • Collaborate with senior design leadership, Marketing, Regulatory, and cross-functional teams.
  • Deliver high-quality, print-ready artwork within deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or related field.
  • 5–7 years of professional design experience, ideally within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Food & Beverage.
  • Strong packaging design and production knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Ability to interpret and apply established design systems with precision.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with a proactive working style.
  • Comfortable collaborating across functions and giving/receiving feedback in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in CPG food packaging with in-house brand teams or agencies.
  • Exposure to design projects involving consumer research testing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools (Teams, Box).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates must provide a portfolio or samples of packaging design work.
  • Contract runs from August 30, 2025 – January 31, 2026 (with potential extension).
