Overview

Tallahassee State College (TSC) invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty in Animation and Game Art within the Computer Technology area. This part-time role teaches online or on-campus courses, with morning and early afternoon time blocks; some midday courses may be available on the Main Campus in Tallahassee, Florida.

What You’ll Do

As Adjunct Faculty, the day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Provide instruction, service and support of college policies and procedures, along with opportunities for professional development.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a candidate who brings a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate must have:

• Master's degree in computer animation or related field (e.g., master’s degrees in TV and film production, digital media, media arts, commercial art, graphic arts, game development/design, digital arts).
• OR 18 graduate semester hours in religion or religious studies plus a Master’s degree.

This position is primarily for Animation and Game Art courses taught online or on predetermined days (Monday through Friday). All prospective faculty are expected to demonstrate the following characteristics:

• Commitment to development and assessment of student learning.
• Use of technology and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning, including distance learning and alternative delivery systems.
• Willingness to support a diverse population of learners inside and beyond the classroom.
• Ability to work in a participatory and collegial setting.
