This is a full-time remote role for a Lead Audio Video Technician.

The Lead Audio Video Technician will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining AV systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing support for video conferencing, lighting control, projectors, and other related technologies. The technician will ensure high-quality audio and visual experiences for clients and work closely with the team to meet project requirements.

Base pay range: $56,000.00/yr - $93,800.00/yr. Actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Projector, flat panel, screen installation and calibration
  • Management of van stock and tools, van maintenance and appearance
  • Meet with project manager to ensure timeline and expectations
  • Communicate effectively with and take direction from Lead Technicians and Project Manager
  • Review sales order, product list and scope of work prior to deploying equipment
  • Responsible for all aspects of onsite installation of AV systems
  • Set up, pre-configure and program networks, control systems, cameras and NVRs
  • Communicate with Project Manager on schedule and expected completion dates
  • Daily updates to project documentation and work orders in job management software
  • Accurate time clock entries and job costing
  • Make decisions and be held accountable to Time and Materials
  • On call rotation may be required
  • Local travel to job sites required
  • Some out-of-town travel may be required for projects or to support other Bravas locations
  • Fiscal responsibility for all assets assigned and property within technician’s care
  • Customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers
  • Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • A minimum of 4+ years of experience in AV installation or a similar industry
  • Understanding of audio, video, security, lighting, and seamless integration of all installed brands
  • Programming experience tailored to AV requirements
  • Ability to interpret home schematics, plans, or blueprints
  • Basic wiring and connectivity skills related to low-voltage standards
  • Proven troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in rough-in and trim-out work is highly preferred

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in low voltage systems is desirable
  • Continuing education in systems such as audio, video, security, and lighting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn in-house job management software
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and background check
  • Security license or similar credentials are preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged standing, stooping, or bending may be necessary
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and at ladder height
  • Ability to work in diverse environmental conditions, including extreme temperatures
