Overview
Sales Manager – Custom Install Audio Video Specialty Dealers role at Samsung Electronics America. This position focuses on managing and expanding the Custom Install (CI) AVS Dealer base to maximize revenue for Samsung TV, AV, and Commercial Display products within an assigned Key dealer portfolio.

Role reports to the Director of Sales - Custom Install and covers AVS accounts across various platforms including AVS, Hybrid CI Dealer/Retail, Retail Specialty Dealers, Pro-AV Dealers, etc. The Sales Manager drives sales initiatives for Home Entertainment (HE Residential) and Display Solutions (Commercial) within the CI AVS Dealer base. Responsibilities include revenue attainment, ATS and product opportunity placement, data reporting, and management accountability. Key activities include business planning, expand sell-in/sell-through, developing growth strategies, executing promotional planning, and regular business updates and reporting. Role also involves sales and marketing program development, execution and audit.
Responsibilities
- Manage and expand the CI AVS Dealer base to maximize revenue for Samsung TV, AV, and Commercial Display products within an assigned Key dealer portfolio.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales plans; coordinate ATS and sell-through planning.
- Implement overall segment strategy and support Samsung brand, sales, and marketing objectives.
- Maintain daily customer contact and develop new opportunities within the CI channel.
- Manage sell-in and sell-through activities and administer sales orders, program execution/validation, and channel communications.
- Organize reporting for management review and prepare executive summaries/quarterly business review meetings.
- Travel within territory on a monthly basis as required.
- Collaborate with sales managers, product marketing and supply chain teams; execute assigned special projects to drive sales performance.
- Resolve customer problems and provide ongoing analytics for the segment (including TAM and sales results).
- Support and attend distributor and industry events.
Skills and Qualifications
Background/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or relevant field.
- 5+ years of Customer Install channel Manufacturer Sales experience or related CE/IT account management experience; experience in CE Distribution with strong data analytics and follow-up abilities.
- Ability to communicate with all organizational levels and manage relationships with large partner portfolios (>$20M).
- Willingness to travel up to 40% within the US.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis); strong presentation and sales skills.
Necessary Skills:
- Ability to identify, plan, organize, and prioritize business plans to achieve sales objectives within deadlines.
- Effective written and oral communication for business and technical matters; ability to establish relationships with internal teams and external customers.
- Experience with sales management of Consumer Electronics/IT brands, dealer and/or distribution channels, and AV solution sales.
- Strong privacy and policy awareness; visit Samsung membership for privacy policy and language options.
Education and Experience
- 5+ years relevant Customer Install channel experience and senior-level sales responsibilities.
