To achieve its ambition to become a market leader in KYC, Citi has established a strategic initiative to improve the end-to-end client experience and productivity of the KYC process, by modernizing the KYC technology infrastructure as well as enhancing our safety and soundness.
The Program Governance and Communication Lead supports internal and external communications required to enable the success of the global KYC Modernization Initiative. This role requires experience leading internal and external communication initiatives associated with large-scale change initiatives. The role also requires a comprehensive understanding of cross-functional communication and how to drive change in large organizations. The successful candidate will need to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and drive communications at senior levels, applying in-depth understanding of the business and client impact of technical contributions. Responsibilities
- Design and execute communication plan for internal and external communications that enable the delivery of the KYC Modernization initiative.
- Own strategic view (3-5 years) to ensure project communications deliver the right message to the right audience and engage the audience throughout the change journey.
- Design, produce, and maintain a library of engaging content and resources to support communications across the project.
- Design and maintain content for periodic Executive-level communications, reviews, and updates. Partner with program and project management to track progress of all work.
- Partner across functions to produce materials suitable for front office and client communication, as required.
- Support the regulatory liaison function in delivering a regulatory communication plan.
- Liaise with program management office, program managers & business sponsors to track initiatives with clearly defined success criteria and align to business strategy and outcome.
- Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders to help drive strategic direction and investment decisions.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills to negotiate internally, often at a senior level, to ensure key messages are communicated effectively.
- Plan and organize internal events such as roadshows to promote the initiative.
- Help strengthen a culture of simplicity, responsible risk management, and client-centricity by fostering transparency, connection, and belonging.
- Gather feedback to continuously improve how we communicate and keep people engaged.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, with consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment, escalating and reporting control issues with transparency, and creating accountability for standards compliance.
Qualifications
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in communication and delivery of large-scale engagements in complex regulated organizations.
- Experience in internal/external communications.
- First-class leadership and influencing skills, including experience managing teams.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and talent management skills, including the ability to identify and develop product management talent.
- Demonstrated ability to design effective and impactful visual content to promote change.
- AML/KYC experience preferred.
- Client-facing experience preferred.
- Strategic thinker with a product mindset able to document the path from problem to solution and challenge the status quo.
- Strong experience in facilitating collaboration and workshops within and across teams, particularly business, technology, and operations.
- Able to influence a large audience using factual data points.
- Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
- Highly motivated, organized, and methodical; demonstrated team player.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Finance, Business, Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.

Salary Range: $130,880.00 - $196,320.00
