Position Overview:

DNVR is seeking an energetic and dynamic Podcast Host to help lead our coverage of the Colorado Avalanche. This is a high-visibility role for someone who lives and breathes hockey, understands the Avs and NHL inside and out, and knows how to connect with fans on a genuine level. You'll be one of the faces and voices of our DNVR Avalanche podcast and relied on to bring insight, analysis and personality to every show. This position requires a strong on-air presence, deep hockey knowledge, and excellent writing skills. You’ll also need to be boots-on-the-ground in Denver — attending games, press conferences, and other events as needed.

Responsibilities

• Host and appear on the DNVR Avalanche podcast 5 days a week including pre/post-game shows.
• Attend home games and practices and represent DNVR at press conferences, practices, and community events.
• Write regular content for theDNVR.com, including analysis, opinion pieces, and breaking news coverage.
• Collaborate with the DNVR video, social, and design teams to promote content across platforms.
• Engage with fans and members across DNVR’s community channels (Discord, social media, live events).
• Maintain strong relationships with team personnel, media peers, and NHL sources.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in podcasting or on-camera hosting.
• Excellent writing skills and a background covering the NHL.
• In-depth knowledge of the NHL, Colorado Avalanche, and the hockey world at large.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, content-driven environment with tight deadlines.
• Ability to work nights and weekends during the season and playoffs.
• Located in or willing to relocate to Denver, CO.
• Experience with audio/video/social editing is a plus (but not required).
