Homepage Editor (Freelance, Full-Time Shifts) — The U.S. Sun, part of News Corp, is seeking an in-office Homepage Editor to work full-time freelance shifts (Monday–Friday) in Midtown Manhattan. Occasional weekend shifts may be required. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.

What You’ll Do

  • Take charge of The U.S. Sun’s digital front door and curate/edit the homepage to showcase our strongest journalism.
  • Work with the senior backbench team to lead the national news agenda.
  • Edit copy across sections, sign off on push notifications and newsletters, and ensure coverage is fast, accurate, and engaging.
  • Provide feedback to reporters and maintain The U.S. Sun’s editorial standards.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

  • At least 3 years of journalism experience with a proven editing background.
  • Sharp news sense and instinct for stories that resonate with U.S. readers.
  • Strong copy-editing, headline writing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Familiarity with analytics, SEO, and social media platforms.
  • Previous homepage editing or fast-paced digital newsroom experience strongly preferred.
