Overview

Rolling Stone is hiring a Video Producer to join our team in New York or LA. The ideal candidate is proficient in vertical and short-form video, with a strong understanding of internet culture and evolving trends.

Responsibilities

• Work with the video production team to conceptualize, prep, shoot, and edit short-form video content
• Independently create social videos for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok
• Collaborate with marketing and editorial teams to recruit and manage talent on set and in the field
• Manage internal studio maintenance and production gear
• Coordinate production, post-production, and editing timelines
• Adapt to pre-production direction and notes quickly
• Familiarize with SHE Media video publishing and analytics platforms
• Manage the company’s video library across platforms
• Assist with pre-production, production, and post-production for branded content

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of shooting/editing experience with relevant reels
• Efficient editing skills for long and short-form video
• Proven ability to create social videos with strong engagement metrics
• Experience shooting stop-motion, color correction, audio balancing, and working with music and pacing
• Strong knowledge of production equipment (including audio) and camera operation
• Understanding of exporting, transcoding, and converting video files
• Ability to meet tight deadlines with agility
• Experience in scriptwriting and creating production outlines and call sheets
• Field producing, including interviews, grip work, equipment transport, and prop coordination
• Expertise in Adobe Premiere and proficiency in Adobe After Effects

Pay and Benefits

Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr. Typical wage range: $80k - $100k.
