Compensation

Base pay range: $15.00/hr - $20.00/hr

Job Details

Location: Minneapolis, MN

Schedule: As required by the store to include evenings and weekends. Three nights per week or as required by the General Manager. Sunday on an alternating basis or as needed. Store hours during Special Events and key selling times of the year.

Basic Function

The Luxury Fashion and Timepiece Manager is a supporting management position within Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry stores. This role achieves store and individual sales goals by providing a superior guest experience and expert knowledge on all fashion merchandise (diamond fashion, gold, and color) and timepiece brands. Responsibilities include overseeing fashion and timepiece sales performance, merchandise launch executions, implementing product education provided by Signet, and developing training plans to improve opportunities for the store as a whole.

Minimum Requirements

  • Meet or exceed three of the five performance standards. Sales must be one of the three.
  • No Code of Conduct written counseling within the past six months.
  • DCA certified.
  • Minimum six months with the company or similar experience.
  • Completion of the Minimum Training Requirements training module and passing the associated quiz.

Responsibilities

  • Serve guests and promote store and personal sales (40% time allocated).
  • Consistently attain sales and performance standards, special event and store promotion results.
  • Promote total guest satisfaction by prioritizing the guest’s shopping and jewelry needs.
  • Provide an exceptional guest experience by aligning with the guest’s agenda and following up via the Clienteling system.
  • Monitor guest flow and pair guests with the appropriate team member as needed.
  • Supervise fashion merchandise categories (diamond fashion, gold, and color) and timepiece brands; train all team members on these categories (50% time allocated).
  • Oversee implementation and administration of fashion and timepiece merchandise, including sales performance, promotions, incentives, launches, and visual merchandising; maintain knowledge of other merchandise categories.
  • Develop and maintain complete knowledge of all fashion and timepiece merchandise to train team members on features, benefits, quality, value, warranties, services, and procedures for each brand and collection.
  • Act as the point of contact with vendor partners and complete all vendor trainings, eLearnings, and incentive submissions for the store.
  • Review weekly fashion and timepiece reporting and identify opportunities; coordinate with the management team to develop training plans to improve sales, standards, and guest experience.
  • Collaborate with the Management Team on recruiting, hiring, scheduling, performance appraisals, and related information about team members (10% time allocated).
  • Communicate pertinent information to the General Manager regarding team members including personnel and security concerns, merchandising needs, etc.
  • Address guest complaints and issues promptly in partnership with the General Manager.
  • Assist the management team with primary responsibilities in their absence.

Physical Demands

Ability to stand for long periods, reach with hands and arms, move among display cases, handle merchandise, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 10 pounds; able to discern differences in merchandise quality.
