We are looking for an ambitious Graphics Designer with prior knowledge in commercial print businesses to work at our Alphagrahics Springfield location. You will be the first key contact for all our new and existing print projects, working with business clients to finalize design files, estimating job requirements, and collaborating with the inside production team to complete jobs. Success in this role depends on attention to detail, proactivity, creativity in providing solutions to clients, and the ability to interact with a diverse group of clients in a friendly, welcoming manner.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a primary contact for clients — receiving daily queries from new or existing clients via phone, email, or occasional walk-ins.
  • Review client requests, convert ideas or art files into print-ready proofs and pre-press files.
  • Work closely with Production teams to ensure art files are transferred correctly into print-ready files.
  • Reach out to clients in a timely fashion via phone or email, presenting designs, proofs and estimates to ensure jobs are completed on time and in full.
  • Assist clients with the resolution of any problems that may arise.

Requirements

  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Proficient in Graphics Design - Adobe CC, Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop.
  • Working knowledge of the print business to interact with Production teams daily.
  • Knowledge of commercial print operations terms and technologies (Digital vs Offset, CMYK vs PMS, Bleed, Print Registration, Color Matching, Spot Color, paper weight, coating).
  • People-oriented — comfortable interacting with people over the phone, email, and face-to-face.
  • Highly responsive to customer inquiries and able to articulate and communicate clearly in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to manage, retain, and service clients.
  • Prior experience in the printing business is key.
  • Strong team player and willingness to assist others when needed.
  • AlphaGraphics centers are independently owned and operated; positions are offered by individual franchisees who interview, hire, manage, and pay employees for a specific local location.
