The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students with online tutors nationwide. As a tutor on the platform, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring for High School Level American Literature.
- Personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
- Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
- Utilize the Live Learning Platform to conduct sessions remotely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with students to achieve learning goals and track progress.
What We Look For In a Tutor
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
- Expertise in High School Level American Literature with the ability to explain concepts clearly.
- Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
- Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.
Benefits and Compensation
- Base contract rates start at $18/hour and can increase for specialized subjects; rates can reach up to $40/hour with a consistent student.
- Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions you conduct and invoice.
- We handle logistics; you invoice for sessions and we manage payments.
