Overview

Social Media Superstar role at Idaho Youth Ranch. Reports to VP Marketing & Communication.

The Idaho Youth Ranch has been helping good kids on a dangerous path find promising futures for more than 60 years, with youth programs and services through the state. We offer emergency shelter, residential care, substance abuse treatment, job readiness training, alternative education, adoption services, family counseling, and more for at-risk kids and their struggling parents and families. The Idaho Youth Ranch approaches each child by meeting their needs and sticking with them as long as needed.

Our work is supported by generous donations and a statewide network of thrift stores, enabling us to help kids and families effectively and immediately.

Location: Emerald or Remote

How to become involved: To volunteer for this opportunity, you will need to be at least 13 years old, submit an application and resume, submit to a criminal background check, complete an interview, and comply with all Idaho Youth Ranch Volunteer Policies and Procedures.

Responsibilities

• Create and post engaging content across LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
• Follow guidelines to align social media content with the overall marketing strategy
• Maintain a regular posting schedule for each platform
• Monitor engagement and analyze social media metrics
• Respond to comments, messages and engage with followers
• Suggest new ideas for social campaigns, contests, etc.

Qualifications

• Passion for social media and knowledge of major platforms
• Excellent written communication skills and a creative mindset
• Ability to create targeted content tailored for each platform
• Detail-oriented and able to manage numerous social accounts
• Interest in expanding social media skillset
• Understanding of social media analytics and reporting
• Available 5-10 hours per week
• Relevant experience managing personal social media accounts
• Familiarity with social media management tools is a plus
