Overview

Freelance Senior Motion Designer (Remote) — Monks. This role involves collaborating with the design and media teams to create motion design and short-form video content for paid media campaigns, reporting to the Associate Director of Animation.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers and producers to create ads that drive performance for client media programs
• Manage multiple motion-based projects with tight timelines
• Project manage yourself, balancing multiple projects
• Own revision and resizing projects for large clients
• Conceptualize animated content optimized for paid media channels
• Understand or learn paid media channel best practices
• Fluency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with focus on After Effects and Premiere Pro
• Be a self-starter, problem-solver and team-player
• Effectively communicate animation concepts, ideas and limitations to creative and non-creative teammates; articulate and defend animation choices
• Offer new angles, best practices and practical solutions to motion design workflows
• Be open to team and client feedback
• Strive to push boundaries in work and personal development

About You

• 4-6 years of technical experience with motion design and video editing, preferably at a performance-focused agency
• Portfolio is required
• In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with proficiency in After Effects and Premiere
• Experience in paid media ad animation
• 4 year college degree (preferably in design) or equivalent work experience

• Experience with HTML5 ad animation
• Experience using Gen AI tools for ad builds and concepting
• Experience building versioning workflows or working with automated versioning tools
• Familiarity with Google suite
• B2C and B2B experience

What We Offer

Monks has provided an hourly rate that represents its good faith estimate of what Monks may pay for the position at the time of posting. The rate offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on job-related factors, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.

Hourly Rate: $40—$55 USD
