Overview

Music Therapist at Providence Milwaukie Hospital in Milwaukie, OR. Per Diem / Day Shift. The Therapist-Recreational Music coordinates and provides clinical programs and services to patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities in the acute Sr. Psychiatric unit. Develops programs to promote and contribute to the rehabilitation effort and to provide the patient and family / caregivers with the skills and resources necessary for successful communication / leisure reintegration after discharge.

Responsibilities

The Therapist-Recreational Music coordinates and provides clinical programs and services to patients with a wide variety of diagnoses and disabilities in the acute Sr. Psychiatric unit. Develops programs to promote and contribute to the rehabilitation effort and to provide the patient and family / caregivers with the skills and resources necessary for successful communication / leisure reintegration after discharge.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Music Therapy, or related field; from accredited college / university.
• Upon hire : Current certification with the American Music Therapy Association, or the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation

Preferred Qualifications

• Upon hire : Board certified as a Music Therapist
• Upon hire : Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association

Pay

Pay Range : $28.41 - $43.47
