We are an integrated firm which our professional roster consists of architects, interior designers, planners, urban designers, landscape architects, graphic designers, construction specification writers, construction economists, environmental analysts, resiliency experts, traffic and transportation engineers, and several other professional disciplines.

The Opportunity

Independent Contract Position. Perkins Eastman is seeking an energetic person who is passionate about photography to take headshots and editorial photos of staff across 18 offices in the US and Canada.

Primary Responsibilities

Photographer reports to the Photography Manager

• Photography
  • Photograph environmental headshots of all staff.
  • Photograph candid photographs of architects working in each office.
  • Create a comfortable environment for the subject to feel at ease.
  • Use lighting equipment to create the desired effect in the photographs.
  • Edit, process and retouch final photographs using Adobe Photoshop to improve the quality of the images.
• Scheduling/Organization
  • Work with photography manager to rough out schedule.
  • Lead communication and scheduling with staff in each office
  • Collaborate and communicate with staff for final photo selection.
  • Organize travel and accommodations to fit company policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in photography, fine art, or related field
• Minimum 4 years professional photography experience with solid portfolio of work
• Strong portfolio of environmental headshots
• Strong portfolio of editorial images of people working
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Ability to work independently and with team to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, detail and organization skills.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and troubleshoot is essential.
• Must be able to travel.
• Valid driver’s license required.
