Architectural Photographer – Charleston, SC
Role Description
CoStar Group offers an expansive set of global real estate information platforms and real estate marketplaces. We are looking for an Architectural Photographer who will create high quality, creative photos and videos using DSLR cameras, drones, gimbals and other state-of-the-art equipment. Media will support marketing for residential and commercial properties and related opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Use architectural photography expertise to produce interior and exterior media of multifamily, office, industrial, and retail properties.
- Create compelling exterior media for residential neighborhoods, parks, and schools.
- Utilize a variety of tools to create visually appealing media including professional-grade cameras, tilt-shift lenses, drones, gimbals, sliders, 3D tour cameras, and other equipment.
- Travel may be required up to a week per month or as determined by business need.
- Utilize time of day, season, location, and photography expertise to determine how to best photograph assignments.
- Edit all photography and video in a timely fashion to deliver completed projects.
- Maintain professional and effective communication with clients during all aspects of media shoots (scheduling, setup, on-site interactions).
- Commit to continued learning and development of craft, including staying up to date on new techniques and technology.
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrable practical experience as a professional Real Estate Photographer or Architectural Photographer, or similar.
- Portfolio review: submit photos and videos including architectural, real estate, exterior lifestyle media (exterior and interior photographs, videos, and drone media).
- High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of real estate photography and videography experience.
- Solid understanding of manual camera settings and lighting.
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro).
- Experience using macOS and MS Office.
- FAA Part 107 Drone License/Certification obtained within 30 days of offer.
- Must have permanent US work authorization and be able to rent a car for travel.
- Ability to drive for extended periods (up to 2 hours) and occasional night/weekend availability.
- Current and valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record check prior to start.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enjoys photographing buildings and neighborhoods in suburban and city environments; seeks creative solutions to challenges.
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to develop connections with key contacts at assigned companies.
- Flexible with excellent multi-tasking and time management in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in commercial drone photography is desirable.
- Ability to capture and edit interior and exterior property videos and photography with best practices for architectural photography.
