Photography Tutor role at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company. The Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects thousands of students with online tutors nationwide. As a tutor, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 online tutoring to individual students.
• Accept on-demand tutoring requests and tutor as availability allows.
• Use the Live Learning Platform to conduct sessions remotely, without commuting.
• Personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Leverage tools such as the AI-powered Tutor Copilot to enhance sessions, generate lessons, and boost engagement.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; payment is handled by Varsity Tutors.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in Photography and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring or teaching experience and graduate-level education.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects, with potential to earn up to $40/hour for continued work with the same student.
• Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted and invoiced.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Tutor remotely using the platform; no commuting required.
