PR Specialist Job at Zion HealthShare in Saint George

Join our Communications Team! We’re looking for a motivated, detail oriented, and creative PR Specialist to help share the Zion HealthShare story. In this role, you’ll be the voice of our organization in the media, building awareness and trust while supporting campaigns and initiatives that highlight our mission. What you'll do

• Assist in developing and executing PR strategies that raise awareness and promote Zion HealthShare’s mission.
• Write and edit compelling copy for a variety of external-facing content, including press releases, blog posts, video scripts, articles, and other communications materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and community partners.
• Monitor media coverage and track public perception of the organization.
• Manage paid advertising campaigns, including updating creative and monitoring performance.
• Coordinate with third party vendors and serve as the main point of contact for these contacts.
• Support the Communications/Marketing team with campaigns, events, and other initiatives.
• Help manage responses to media inquiries and support crisis communications when needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in PR, communications, or media relations.
• Proven track record of securing media coverage and building relationships with journalists.
• Strong writing, storytelling, and messaging skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities.
• Experience in nonprofit or healthcare communications is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred.
• Experience in areas such as podcast production, event management, or film/documentary production is also a plus.

The pay range for this role is: 50,000 - 60,000 USD per year (St George)
