Overview

ACCOUNT SUPERVISOR, PUBLIC RELATIONS (Marcom team) — a key leadership role responsible for accounts, people, client service, and management. The ideal candidate has deep experience implementing high-impact marketing communications programs for both consumer and business-to-business brands. The candidate should be driven, savvy, a team player, and solution-oriented, with a track record of excellent client service and client retention. This individual will play a central role in talent management and development of direct reports.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building strong relationships and ensuring high-quality service delivery. Provide high-impact strategic counsel and recommendations to clients.
  • Manage day-to-day client activities, including communication, research, planning, implementation and evaluation of marketing activities, with attention to budgets, resources, deadlines, and client expectations. Multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Deliver high-quality written and verbal content and present persuasively.
  • Develop and execute strategic programs that meet clients' business and marketing goals, predicting outcomes and directing efforts for meaningful results.
  • Consistently secure high-quality media opportunities and maintain strong relationships with key journalists, influencers, and other stakeholders to drive coverage and brand awareness.
  • Support clients during crisis situations with clear, concise strategies and recommendations.
  • Oversee client budgets and monthly billing, and manage financial metrics including utilization, scopes, and profitability.
  • Upsell clients to grow account revenue and lead new business efforts to acquire new clients, including research and proposal preparation.
  • Write effectively and coach others in writing; develop media materials aligned with client strategy and adhere to AP style.
  • Plan and execute media and other events.
  • Collaborate across the agency with other internal teams.
  • Build a high-performing, highly-skilled, and engaged team; delegate and manage projects effectively.
  • Create high-level positioning and messaging for clients.
  • Manage, coach, and develop team members with a focus on employee experience and retention; identify beneficial training opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of public relations and/or corporate communications experience
  • 2+ years of proven project management experience
  • 2+ years of direct experience supervising people and team management
  • 3+ years of experience managing clients, including planning, budgeting, and utilization
  • Expertise with marketing communications, content marketing, social media, and paid media, preferred
  • Excellent writing, editing, and presentation skills
  • True passion for brand storytelling through social media, branded content, blogs, and beyond
  • Deep industry knowledge and media relationships
  • Understanding of complex products, services, and solutions
