We’re hiring for a Sr. UX Designer focused on voice AI to design intuitive, business-focused voice experiences for property managers, enabling automation where it adds efficiency and freeing time for relationships that matter.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of voice AI experiences, from early exploration to polished conversational flows, ensuring interactions are intuitive and aligned with business needs
- Define and evolve conversational design guidelines and patterns within the broader design system
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, QA, and the UX Team to ensure a consistent, high-quality user experience across complex workflows
- Develop conversation models, personas, and scripts that balance clarity, efficiency, and brand voice
- Contribute to a comprehensive Design Strategy and work toward usability benchmarks and KPIs
- Partner with Product Management on roadmap and strategy, advocating for end users while balancing business needs
- Engage in LeanUX-inspired activities (design studios, provisional personas, storymapping) to address design challenges with cross-functional teams
- Collaborate during sprints with team members, including pairing with engineers on design
- Support wireframes, flow diagrams, rapid prototypes, and visual design to communicate and validate ideas
- Facilitate user research to test prototypes and conduct ongoing usability testing for conversational interfaces
- Advocate for a cohesive user experience through consistent UI patterns
- Inspire teams to achieve user delight by considering tone, pacing, and micro-interactions in voice design
- Help drive a comprehensive Design Strategy with usability benchmarks and success metrics for conversational products
Knowledge and Skills / Qualifications
- Strong portfolio focusing on voice interfaces, conversational AI, or multimodal experiences
- Experience designing natural, human-centered conversations, including turn-taking, error recovery, and edge cases
- Understanding of voice UI usability principles (brevity, clarity, cognitive load)
- Basic knowledge of speech technologies (NLU/NLP, TTS, ASR) and their impact on design
- Understanding of cross-channel experiences (voice, text, web, mobile) and continuity across them
- Awareness of human-in-the-loop patterns and smooth handoffs
- Exposure to large language models (LLMs) and emerging multimodal capabilities
- Knowledge of accessibility standards for voice and multimodal interfaces
- Experience with a variety of UX deliverables and ability to choose appropriate tools
- Knowledge of Agile UX and Lean UX in a highly collaborative environment
- Proficiency in low-fidelity tools (e.g., FigJam) and advanced prototyping tools (e.g., Figma)
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills to clarify problems and align stakeholders around the voice experience
- Minimum of 5 years of UX-focused experience, with at least 2 years in voice/conversational design or related areas
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary/hourly wage for this role is expected to be $125,600-$157,000. The actual base salary will be determined by factors including skills, education, and experience. This pay range does not include additional benefits or bonuses that may be eligible based on role and employment type. Regular full-time employees are eligible for benefits.
