Position: TalentBurst opportunity – Senior Web Developer

Overview

The role is an experienced senior developer responsible for developing, maintaining/upgrading, and supporting professional quality web applications for the organization’s Internet/Intranet sites. The candidate will manage the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. The role also involves documenting components, mentoring junior developers, and researching new tools and technologies.

Base pay and employment details

Base pay range: $60.00/hr - $65.00/hr

Duration: 1 year with potential renewal at fiscal year; interview types: in person or virtual based on location.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, upgrade, and support web applications for Internet/Intranet sites.
• Lead full software development lifecycle: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Create and maintain database components and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and system failures.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new Internet tools and applications for the assigned area.
• Mentor junior developers and stay current with development technologies.

• Strong ASP.NET MVC and C# design and development skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to write and interpret requirements and develop complex algorithms.
• Attention to detail and ability to design logical application flows.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed.

Skills Preferred

• Dashboard and report development/visualization skills.
• Experience working with AI applications.

Experience

• Experience Required: Minimum 7 years in related roles, including:
• Extensive SQL database experience (creating databases, tables, stored procedures, functions, scheduled jobs, SSIS, SSRS).
• Experience with web services/APIs (REST, SOAP) and tools like Postman or Swagger.
• Experience with TFS source control and Azure DevOps (Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines CI/CD).
• Experience developing and working with site search functionality.
• Experience with CAPTCHA and bot-detection tools.
• Experience with Azure Functions and web app development.

• Experience Preferred: Power BI, Snowflake database, Drupal framework, and creating technical documentation.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
