What We Are Looking For:
As Senior Marketing Web Developer at Bandwidth, you’ll own the development and optimization of our external-facing websites, playing a critical role in delivering world-class digital experiences that drive business growth. You’ll lead front-end execution with clean, modern, and scalable code, while partnering closely with designers, marketers, and fellow developers to bring ideas to life with precision and impact. You’ll take full ownership of the end-to-end web experience, ensuring each project meets the highest standards for performance, accessibility, and user experience, and proactively resolving issues to continually raise the bar for quality and innovation.
Please note, this is an onsite position in Raleigh, NC.
What You’ll Do:
- Development
- Work with WordPress (Timber/Twig + ACF) to develop new components, templates, and pages.
- Write clean, well-documented, and reusable code that aligns with industry standards and project requirements.
- Translate designs and prototypes into fully functional, visually accurate web experiences.
- Quality & Performance
- Conduct thorough QA of own work to ensure production-ready code with minimal defects.
- Ensure websites meet WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards and deliver intuitive user experiences.
- Monitor and optimize site performance to achieve loading time targets or conversion rate improvements.
- Stay current on best practices in responsive design, security, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with designers, marketers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business goals.
- Participate in project scoping, providing accurate effort estimates and technical recommendations.

- Be part of a collaborative team that values continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and technical insights clearly with management and stakeholders before deadlines.
What You Need:
- Knowledge
- 4+ years of experience in modern web development, with demonstrated senior-level contributions in both coding and project delivery.
- Hands-on experience setting up and maintaining web applications, including security, hosting, and user management
- Strong foundation in web standards, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
- Knowledge of accessibility guidelines (WCAG 2.2) and inclusive design practices
- Best practices for performance optimization, scalability, and security
- Expertise with CMS platforms, especially WordPress
- Experience with REST APIs
- Familiarity with analytics and testing tools (GA4, Request Metrics, VWO)
- Principles of A/B testing, experimentation, and conversion rate optimization
- Skills
- Proficient in HTML, CSS (LESS/SASS), PHP, JavaScript, and WordPress theme and plugin development
- Proficiency in version control (Git) and modern development workflows
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- QA mindset for both code quality and user experience validation
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with React, Python, Java, Ruby on Rails, or ASP.NET.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile development methodologies.
