Pay: $26.00 – $28.00 per hour (Based on experience, education, and training)

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Job description:

As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models and mechanical drawings using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor, based on customer specifications. You’ll play a key role in product development, fabrication support, and engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create accurate 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks 3D CAD or Autodesk Inventor
• Translate customer specifications into manufacturable designs
• Generate detailed part and assembly drawings for review and production
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure design accuracy and manufacturability
• Maintain organized documentation and design files
• Utilize PDM systems, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office tools for project support

Qualifications:

Required:

• Minimum 2 years of Mechanical Design experience
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Inventor
• Associate’s degree in Drafting/Design or a related Engineering discipline
• Strong understanding of mechanical drawing principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows OS

Skills (a plus but not required):

• Experience with sheet metal design
• Familiarity with weldments and structural design
• Working knowledge of PDM (Product Data Management) systems
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Formal SolidWorks certification or training
