The Marketing Team at Virginia Cancer Specialists, an affiliate of McKesson Specialty Health and US Oncology, is seeking a full time Marketing Specialist to work at our Administrative office in Fairfax, Virginia. The ideal candidate will support new patient growth by providing operational and administrative support to the Virginia Cancer Specialists Marketing and Practice Growth team. Scope: Under supervision of the Director, Marketing and Practice Growth, this role assists in all aspects of the practice marketing program. Responsibilities include marketing functions such as market analysis, market research, marketing development, outside sales/field marketing support, event support, content development, and content merchandising. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with vendors for marketing collateral print, delivery, and distribution.
- Maintain/update physician and location profiles and business listings.
- Maintain and support usage of the project management platform.
- Assist with ongoing maintenance of referral records (CPM platform: SalesForce).
- Provide digital marketing and social media support:
- Assist with light graphic design.
- Create content calendar, maintain and execute social media content across platforms.
- Coordinate on-shoot photo/video capture as needed.
- Source or request patient testimonials.
- Post and update web content.
- Ensure brand guidelines are followed across internal and external communication.
- Provide local event/sales support:
- Plan, set up, take down, and execute community, internal, and professional marketing/networking events.
- Administrative support: manage marketing inventory and distribution, schedule meetings, take/distribute meeting minutes, and make local deliveries.
- Manage and execute regular and special mailing campaigns, manage contact lists.
- Build slide decks, design agendas, and create meeting materials.
- Implement marketing plans including analyzing competitive products and marketing techniques, strategies, consumer research, and marketing legislation.
- Assist in the development of marketing plans for new products and services.
- Liaise with outside agencies as needed.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration, or related degree and 0-3 years related work experience. Prior marketing experience in a health care setting is preferred.
Work environment and physical demands
The physical demands and work environment are typical of an office setting: sitting and using hands, occasional standing/walking/reaching, ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and potential travel. Reasonable accommodations provided as needed.
