Overview

City Design Studio (https://citydesign-studio.com) is an architecture and urban design firm with a focus on the creation of unique, vibrant, and extraordinary places. Based in Downtown Los Angeles, our work spans the continental United States, South, and East Asia and ranges in scale from sensitive architecture to the urban design and planning of small Cities.

We are currently seeking two designers to join our team to work on sports facilities for the LA 2028 Olympics and several complex aviation projects at LAX. The selected designers will be assuming a key role in these projects.

We are seeking highly motivated architects/designers who are enthusiastic about creating distinctive architectural buildings and communities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architecture and project management skills and can collaborate with multiple consultant teams in a fast-paced environment. The position offersample growth opportunities for an organized candidate who can manage diverse tasks.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Architecture and preferably a post-professional degree in Architecture or Urban Design or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years experience with architecture design projects.
  • Proficiency in Revit is required (2-3 years experience)in addition to Rhino, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office is required. Rendering proficiency in Enscape, and V-Ray is also preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in all phases of architectural design.
  • Knowledge of building and planning codes.
  • Excellent design, visualization, and graphic skills with the ability to graphically communicate design concepts.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines when necessary.
Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Schematic Design, Design Development and Construction Documents
  • Project coordination with team members and consultants.
  • Coordination and verification of materials finishes and details.
  • Conduct material and product research as required for project development.
  • Participate in QA/QC reviews (peer and self) and review for all phases of submissions, providing red-marked drawings. Make corrections based on the received QA/QC review.
