Responsibilities

Act as lead designer on multiple projects developing conceptual design, presentations and implementation documents.

Guide and direct multiple project teams to manage the development of design throughout design development and implementation documents.

Establish the vision and set project goals in conjunction with the client and project team.

Lead design effort and client presentations to develop and support client relationships.

Exercise skills of persuasion and negotiation on critical issues.

Develop creative design concepts for projects and expand on concepts of others.

Manage design solutions based on industry standard construction techniques and engineering principles.

Oversee schematic land and site planning drawings with graphic content to convey ideas, methodologies and approaches for marketing and proposal requests.

Oversee the development of and may modify and/or review graphic presentations, 3D rendering and implementation documents to incorporate the design intent.

Oversee delivery of complete project design presentation to client user group or public forum.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, furniture dealers and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives; manage project details with consulting design or engineering firms.

Resolve complex design issues with innovative and practical solutions to maintain goals and objectives of projects.

Work with respective teams to manage client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination.

Oversee product research and direct project designers with materials and systems evaluation to make proper selections.

Lead and collaborate in team meetings to discuss project issues, technical issues and coordination with other disciplines.

Qualifications

Education and Experience : Accredited professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related field; typically 15+ years of experience.

Licenses and Certifications : Architectural registration strongly preferred; sustainable design accreditation preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities :

Advanced experience with Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper and Dynamo.

Classical and Contemporary design knowledge preferred.

Intermediate skills in Navis and Bluebeam; Twinmotion/Enscape or other visualization tools.

Advanced experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; MS Office Suite (Advanced preferred).

Experience managing a team in a fast-paced environment; strong client relationship management.

Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, building codes and QA/QC processes.

Experience with the entire project lifecycle, through post-occupancy; sustainability and integrated design guidelines.

Knowledge of building systems, FF&E and Environmental Graphic processes.

Strong presentation, graphics and visualization skills; excellent communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines; travel may be required.
