Job Title: Sr. Board Design Lead
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Design Engineer with hands-on experience in designing complex high-speed circuit boards with extensive experience in PCIe Gen 4/5/6 . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in schematic capture using OrCAD, a solid understanding of Signal Integrity (SI) requirements, and the ability to collaborate effectively with layout engineers and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of complex, high-speed printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Perform schematic capture using OrCAD and ensure design accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate closely with PCB layout engineers to guide board placement, routing, and layer stack-up decisions.
Conduct and interpret Signal Integrity (SI) simulations and analysis to ensure optimal performance.
Select appropriate components and manage BOM creation and lifecycle.
Interface with mechanical, firmware, and test engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
Support board bring-up, debug, and validation activities.
Maintain documentation and design records in accordance with company standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
5-10 years of hands-on experience in complex board design.
Proficiency in OrCAD for schematic capture.
Strong understanding of Signal Integrity, power integrity, and high-speed design principles.
Experience working with layout engineers and guiding PCB design from concept to production.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for board design and manufacturing.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with tools like Allegro, HyperLynx, or SIwave.
Knowledge of EMC/EMI considerations in board design.
Experience in DFM/DFT practices.
Prior experience in consumer electronics, telecom, or automotive sectors.
