Marketing Director (Finance) The primary purpose of your job position is to develop, coordinate, direct, and administer our facility's marketing and public relations programs and services.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the facility's public relations and marketing programs and activities to maintain and increase our census and provide the community with information about the facility, its programs, services, and practices.

Develop and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the release of information concerning residents, employees, and/or the facility in accordance with current privacy rules and regulations.

Assist department directors in developing and using marketing and public relations policies and procedures, and foster collaboration across departments to emphasize staff roles in marketing and public relations programs.

Review and update the facility's marketing and public relations policies and procedures at least annually; make changes as necessary.

Assist in the development, implementation, and tracking of customer satisfaction surveys.

Interpret the facility's policies and procedures governing the release of information to employees, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, etc., as necessary.

Ensure public information (policy manuals, brochures, information packets, etc.) describing the services provided is accurate and fully descriptive.

Ensure all employees follow established policies and procedures governing the release of information.

Organize and implement continuing internal communications through bulletin boards, house organs, committee meetings, newsletters, brochures, and public announcements.

Schedule and participate in departmental meetings concerning marketing and public relations programs and activities.

Provide creative support for activity and social services departments in developing resident programs and publications as necessary.

Maintain an adequate liaison with families, residents, and community and civic leaders; participate in community service and civic groups to obtain information and support for charitable activities on behalf of the facility.

Contact the news media when new programs or promotions are implemented that benefit the facility and the community.

Keep the Administrator informed of media coverage that may impact the facility or its regulations.

During emergencies, establish a public relations area to ensure information release is accurate and within policy scope during emergencies.

Assist department directors in planning, conducting, and scheduling training related to marketing and public relations programs and activities.

Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis throughout the facility.

Follow established ergonomics policies and procedures to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses.

Prepare a departmental operating budget for approval and allocate resources to carry out marketing and public relations programs.

Serve on various committees as directed by the Administrator.

Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information, including protected health information, and report known or suspected incidents of unauthorized disclosure.

Interpret resident rights to residents, family, and staff as necessary or appropriate.

Supervisory Requirements

This position has supervisor responsibilities.

Qualification

Education and/or Experience

Must possess, as a minimum, a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university, or equivalent. Five (5) years of experience in marketing/public relations in a health care setting may be recognized in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products.

Physical Demands

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Prolonged use of a desktop or laptop computer.

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and talk; read or hear.

Frequent use of office equipment including copier/scanner/fax, telephone, and calculator.

May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.

Work Environment

The work environment is usually low to moderate in noise level.
