Location: Phoenix, AZ Employment Type: W2 Only Experience Level: Senior (12+ years) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior UI Architect to lead our frontend architecture initiatives in Phoenix, AZ. This is a W2 position only - no contractors or C2C arrangements will be considered. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and implementing scalable UI architectures using React JS and Angular JS frameworks. Required Qualifications 12+ years of professional UI/Frontend development and architecture experience Strong expertise in React JS with deep understanding of: Advanced React patterns and architectural principles State management architectures (Redux, MobX, Zustand) React ecosystem and component libraries Micro-frontend architectures and module federation Performance optimization and code splitting strategies Strong expertise in Angular JS/Angular including: Angular 2+ enterprise-level applications Advanced TypeScript and decorators Angular architecture patterns (Smart/Dumb components, Services) NgRx state management and reactive patterns Angular Universal for SSR implementations Must be eligible to work on W2 basis only (US citizens or permanent residents) Technical Architecture Skills Required UI Architecture & Design: Design systems and component library development Scalable frontend architecture patterns Cross-platform UI/UX consistency Responsive and adaptive design principles Accessibility standards implementation (WCAG 2.1) Advanced Frontend Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, SCSS/SASS, PostCSS JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern syntax CSS-in-JS solutions (Styled Components, Emotion) Modern bundlers (Webpack 5, Vite, Rollup, Parcel) Micro-frontend architectures and module federation Development & Testing: Advanced Git workflows and branching strategies Unit/Integration/E2E testing (Jest, Cypress, Playwright) Storybook for component documentation Performance testing and optimization tools Browser compatibility and cross-platform testing DevOps & Deployment: CI/CD pipeline design for frontend applications Container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CDN integration Progressive Web App (PWA) implementation SEO optimization and Core Web Vitals Preferred Qualifications Experience with headless CMS and JAMstack architectures Knowledge of GraphQL and modern API integration patterns Familiarity with Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) patterns Experience with design tokens and design system automation Understanding of web security best practices Experience with monitoring and analytics tools (Sentry, DataDog) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Key Responsibilities Architecture Leadership: Define and implement scalable UI architecture strategies Establish coding standards, best practices, and development guidelines Lead technical design reviews and architectural decisions Evaluate and recommend new technologies and frameworks Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide frontend development teams Collaborate with backend architects on API design Drive performance optimization initiatives Ensure code quality through reviews and automation Strategic Planning: Create technical roadmaps for frontend development Assess and mitigate technical debt Plan migration strategies for legacy applications Collaborate with product and design teams on technical feasibility
