Amentum is actively seeking a Training Design and Development Specialist to support active contracts in Huntsville, AL. The position may require CONUS travel.
Description:
The Training Design and Development Specialist supports electronic data systems, technical editing, quality management audits, learning management systems, and instructional system design. Responsibilities of the Training Design and Development Specialist include:
Maintain and improve upon curriculum and instructor development processes and products. Design, write, review, and edit a variety of written documents, including manuals, SOPs, guidebooks, handbooks, briefs, instructional guides, and reports. Design, write, review, and edit Microsoft tools and products such as PowerPoint and Excel. Maintain, improve, and provide technical customer support for Huddle Software as a Service (SaaS) product. Lead the process to prepare, schedule, implement, and document results of industry standard internal audits, especially for accredited programs. Provide technical support for external, third-party audits as required by various international and national accreditation standards. Maintain and improve the existing ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management System (QMS) for credentialing and accreditation purposes. Support subscription services like SurveyMonkey and ClassMarker for survey and testing purposes. Ensure attainment and maintenance of additional credentialing for programs such as international or national standards accreditation. Support other relevant credentialing activities to enhance training, forensic services, and personnel certification programs. Qualifications:
Proven experience with operating, maintaining, and improving electronic data systems like Huddle SaaS and subscription services like SurveyMonkey and ClassMarker. Strong technical writing and editing skills, with extensive knowledge of Microsoft tools. Experience and credentialing in conducting internal and external quality management audits, such as the Certified Quality Auditor credential from The American Society of Quality. Experience with learning management systems, instructional system design, and measuring learning outcomes. Proven experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining an ISO 9001 compatible QMS. Preference for candidates with backgrounds in public safety or the military, especially in training design, development, and evaluation. Strong research, verbal, and written communication skills. Valid U.S. Drivers License. Bachelors Degree from an accredited college or university preferred; a combination of education, work experience, and on-the-job training will be considered. General experience with law enforcement or the US military is preferred but not required. Must pass an ATF background investigation and obtain/maintain an ATF Public Trust US Government Clearance.
